Hey people,
I decided to make a tutorial about how to use Adf.ly. There are some others I think, but this tutorial is going to be much longer than the others posted here.
Let's start, shall we?
Ok. First you have to create an account on Adf.ly here: http://www.adf.ly/
Let's talk about referrals for a second here before continuing with the tutorial. A referral link will usually look like this: http://adf.ly/?id=8160. If you're going to refer other people to Adf.ly, you can make even more money by shortening your referral URL! In that way, you get the money of the people clicking your link AND the earnings of referring someone!
If someone signs up as your referral, you get 20% of what they earn. For example, if you earn $100 by this, I'll get $20. You won't notice anything of that because you still earn the same amount of money, but I do.
Anyway, enough about referrals. Let's continue with our tutorial.
Ok. So to sign up for Adfly, click the Join now button on the top right. Fill in your name, email and password. Then you have to select what you want to do: earn money by shortening links and spreading them or advertising your own website (that is going to COST you money). In our case, we're going to choose for Link shortener (default option). Check the I agree to the Terms & Conditions box and there you go! You may have to verify your email, I'm not sure about that.
When you first sign in to your account, you'll see a page similar to their homepage. You'll see a Text box and a Shrink button on the top and your already shrunk links underneath it. The text box and the shrink button is to shrink your URLs (duh) and at the links you can see your already shrunken links, their original links and their views.
To shrink an url, enter a link in the text box and click the shrink button. You'll get a shortened link. When someone clicks on that link, you'll earn money for it!
A short explanation about what's so special about that link: it's easy. When someone clicks that link, they'll see an ad and after a few seconds an option to skip the ad. Adfly earns money from their advertisers to show that ad, and you'll get a part of that money from Adfly!
A few facts:
*Payout by Paypal
*Minimum payout is $5.
*The money you get from 1 page view differs because of different ads, but it's around $0,00060. That's not much you maybe think, but if you get 5000 pageviews (easy to get, see spreading methods), you already earned $3 :)
*You can use a shortened link in combination with a referral link (explained in the beginning of this tutorial), but also in combination with Uploading.com for example.
Spreading methods
There are many methods to spread your Adfly link. I'll explain a few.
Twitter ( http://adf.ly/K1J ) is an excellent method to spread your Adfly links. You can use this in combination with Flashtweet's ( http://adf.ly/GGZ ) mass follow to get more followers. As soon as you have like 1000 followers, you can start posting your Adfly links. Make sure you link them to interesting content and post a little interesting story together with the link, and don't just post the link without any explanation, because no-one is going to click on a link like that.
Also you can use 1 of the following tips:
*Make sure you have a picture of a hot girl as your
avatar and don't forget to pretend you're that girl!
*Use a sexy name
*Change your age to 16
That's very important to get more followers. Yes, it's a big difference. Many people will follow a nice young hot girl instead of some newb with standard avatar etc.
IRC
You can also spam that link through IRC for example. It's against their TOS, but they're aren't going to find out anyway.
Your website
You can make a little 1x1 iframe on your website. In that way, each time someone loads your website, they also load the adfly link in a little frame.
Friends
Just give your friends the links and let them click at their homes.
School
Click on them at school...
Using a proxy
Make like 30 links and click on them through a proxy. After you did them, change proxy and delete your cookies.

The government has admitted moving slowly to protect wildlife in the seas because of the cost.
Environment Minister Richard Benyon said that in the current financial squeeze he could not designate as many areas for protection as he would like.
He said he was hoping to confirm the designation of the current tranche of 31 Marine Protected Zones under a consultation that ends on Sunday.
Environmentalists have accused the government of dragging its feet.
This is because 127 zones were originally nominated for protection after a compromise deal agreed with other users of the sea.
Jolyon Chesworth from the Wildlife Trusts said: "We are disappointed at the rate of progress. The government has an international obligation to protect wildlife in the seas.

"The marine environment is not as obvious to people as it is when they see wildlife walking through a woodland or downland but it's just as important and equally worthy of protection.
"The 127 zones were only nominated after very long discussions with anglers, sailors and the fishing industry. We are now being asked to compromise on a compromise."
But Mr Benyon told the BBC that with cuts to the Defra budget, the cost of making scientific assessments and then developing rules for the use of different areas could not be dismissed.
"We are constrained by a hugely expensive process at a time when we have little money in government", he said.
"I want to do as many zones as we can for as little as we can. People have waited many years for this; we will designate the first tranche in September and will announce the next lot for consultation then."
Environmentalists are worried that the UK might slither back from its international commitment to create an ecologically coherent network of sites.
They are angry that several key sites have been left out of the first tranche on the grounds that insufficient evidence was supplied to justify them.
Sailors' fears Mr Chesworth said that in his south of England region there was a cast-iron case for designating, among others, Bembridge Levels on the Isle of Wight - home of the stalked jellyfish and Poole Harbour - a key breeding ground for sea horses.
But both of these zones have been contested by sailors who fear that new rules will prevent them anchoring on sensitive sites. One boat owner on the Isle of Wight told Mr Benyon that the designations were "bonkers".
Boaters are the mainstay of the local economy and have lived in harmony with wildlife for decades, he said.
John Pockett from the Royal Yachting Association told the BBC: "We fear we won't be able to anchor our yachts; we fear we won't be able to train our next Ben Ainslie (the Olympian) because we won't be able to anchor marker boats."
Sailors are not the only ones protesting. In some areas fishing crews object to MPZs, even though they are supposed to provide a breeding ground for fish stocks to recover.
Conservationists warn that recently revealed chalk arches off the North Norfolk coast could be destroyed by one careless pass of a trawl net.
A further complication is the fact that UK jurisdiction ends six nautical miles from the shore, even though its responsibility for wildlife stretches further.
"It would be terrible to stop our own fishermen from exploiting a sensitive areas then allow boats of other nationalities to come in", Mr Benyon said. "We are trying to negotiate this with Brussels."
The proposals stem from the 2009 UK Marine Bill. If all the sites had been approved, just over a quarter of English waters would end up under some kind of protection. Currently, the total is way under 1%.
Globally just 0.6% of the world's oceans have been protected, compared to almost 13% of our planet's land area.
Marine author Callum Roberts told the BBC: "There's no way you'll have an effective network of marine-protected areas the way we are going. It's undermining trust."
But public sector cutbacks are a reality. And the government insists that the state of the economy will inevitably be felt on the sea bed, like everywhere else.

"There is no scientific proof that eating more or less of certain foods will result in weight loss." Haire notes. She explains that if you severely restrict one group of nutrients--such as carbs, protein, or fat--you may not be getting enough of the essential nutrients you need to maintain health. The USDA's Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2010 recommend the following nutrient range for adults in order to meet nutritional needs: 45-65 percent of total calories from carbs, 10-35 percent from protein, and 20-35 percent from fat.
2. Balance Calories in vs. Calories out. Your body performs its own unique metabolic balancing act every day--balancing out the number of calories (or energy) you fuel your body with against how much energy you burn in order to support normal functions and activities. If you take in more fuel than you need, your body stores it as fat; if you take in less than you need, you lose weight. Yet recent surveys show that most people don't understand this energy balance.
If you want to find out how many calories you need, check out MyPlate.gov. Haire suggests that in order to lose weight, consume about 500 calories per day less than you need, without going under 1,200 calories per day.
3. Spread out those calories over the day. Skipping meals--especially breakfast--is linked with higher calorie intake and weight. To promote healthy weight loss without hunger pangs and cravings, Haire suggests, "Your goal is to eat three main meals per day--breakfast, lunch and dinner--and possibly one to two snacks in between. You should space out your meals and snacks and eat every three to four hours." Just remember that those snacks should be nutrient-rich--such as fruit, low-fat yogurt, or a handful of nuts--and fit into your daily calorie plan.
4. Boost High-Volume, Low-Energy Foods. Research suggests that these foods--which provide low calorie levels in relatively large portions, can help promote weight loss by filling you up yet reducing your overall calorie intake. Ruth Frechman, M.S., R.D., spokesperson for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, suggests that broccoli is a perfect example of a high-volume, low-energy food.
"Broccoli doesn't have many calories, yet it is packed with nutrients. The volume of the broccoli adds volume to your stomach, making you feel full, and it will take awhile to eat. Focus on eating more fruits and vegetables for snacks instead of high-calorie foods like cakes and cookies," says Frechman.

5. Follow the Nutrient-Rich Approach. Choosing foods based on their nutrient density is an optimal strategy for weight loss, as it boosts important nutrients for health while reducing overall calorie intake to support weight loss, according to several studies.
"Nutrient-rich foods contain the most nutrients per calorie," explains Haire. "Examples are lean meats, low-fat yogurt and milk, raw fruits and vegetables, and whole grains. If you eat a combination of these foods at every meal, you can cut back on your calories and meet your nutritional requirements."
6. Increase your Physical Activity. Studies continue to support the importance of exercise--in combination with diet--for weight loss.
"Exercise makes it possible to create a calorie deficit and lose weight without starving yourself and slowing metabolism. It is very important to exercise regularly; those who do lose weight more effectively and are more successful in keeping it off," says Haire. Aim for at least 30 minutes of exercise most days of the week and muscle-strengthening activities at least twice per week.
7. Push Fiber Intake. Fiber may be one of the most important hunger-controlling nutrients we know of.
"Fiber is a great aid for losing weight, because it can make you feel full," says Frechman, who suggests increasing your intake of vegetables, fruits, beans, and whole grains to increase your fiber intake. High-fiber foods take longer to chew, thus increasing saliva and gastric juices and expanding your stomach, as well as improving blood glucose control, which also aids in hunger control.
8. Cut Down on Solid Fats and Sugars. The Dietary Guidelines recommend cutting back on solid fats, including saturated fats found in meat and full-fat dairy products and trans fats added to processed foods, and added sugars found in beverages and desserts to reduce weight and lower disease risk. Frechman explains that sugary and fatty, highly processed foods "don't provide much bang for the buck. They contain a lot of calories and very few nutrients."

Switch out these foods for whole, minimally processed foods, such as lean meats, low-fat dairy, whole grains, legumes, fruits and vegetables.
9. Don't Drink Your Calories. Study after study suggests that sugary beverages may be a culprit in obesity. At about 150 calories a pop, a can of soda can add unwanted calories to your diet without offering any sense of fullness. When you consume calories in their liquid form--without any chewing required--you're not likely to cut back on calories at meal time. This same rule applies to drinking fruit juice; it's easy to drink the calorie equivalent of two or more servings of fruit in a few sips. And remember to keep alcoholic beverages to a moderate intake (no more than one drink per day for women, two drinks for men.)
10. Portion Size Counts. Our portions--in supermarkets, restaurants, and home cooking--have grown dramatically over the past few decades, according to research. For example, restaurants may serve five to six times the recommended serving size--1/2 cup--of spaghetti. And as our portions have expanded, so have the calories we consume and our waistlines. Frechman suggests that you follow the suggested portion sizes indicated in MyPlate to reduce your calorie consumption.
11. Turn to MyPlate. A team of top nutrition scientists developed MyPlate, a visual icon that shows you how to eat to promote optimal weight. Frechman suggests that MyPlate offers the best plan for weight loss: "Your plate should have a small amount of protein and a small amount of carbohydrate. The rest of the plate can be filled with fruits and vegetables. Don't forget to include a source of low-fat food containing calcium, such as fat-free milk.

Japanese man allegedly tried to kill a woman with poisoned shoes

A Japanese man who allegedly tried to kill a woman he was stalking by putting poison in her shoes was arrested, police and reports said.

The woman, a colleague, did not die, but developed gangrene in part of her left foot, they said. It was not known to what extent she was injured or if she had to have any amputations.

Tatsujiro Fukasawa, 40, allegedly put hydrofluoric acid, a highly caustic chemical, in her shoes in December last year, a police spokeswoman and reports said.

He is believed to have obtained the chemical, which is used in oil refining or to dissolve rock, at his workplace.

Fukusawa has denied the allegation, Jiji Press said, citing local investigative sources.

Hydrofluoric acid can be absorbed through the skin into the blood, and can led to systemic failure, including heart attacks.

Stay Active:

Keep Positive:
If chronic back pain occurs, remain positive. Prevent depression and don't think you need to spend days in bed. Inactivity, will only make it worse, you need to move.

Lift Properly:
You need to take the weight off your back when lifting, especially heavy items. Lift with your knees and legs, bend and cradle the item you are lifting, and listen, don't be afraid to ask for help when lifting a heavy object. Many macho men have hurt their back lifting wrong.

1. China - 6,027
Although, China officially overtook the US as the world's biggest CO2 emitter, research has shown that almost a third of Chinese carbon emissions are the result of producing goods for export.
In November 2009 China announced that it will reduce its carbon intensity -- the amount of carbon dioxide emitted for each unit of GDP -- 40 to 45 percent by 2020, compared with 2005 levels. However, given its high economic growth rate, China's emissions will continue to rise rapidly for at least a decade.

2. United States - 5,769
USA drew worldwide criticism for failing to adopt the greatest international agreement for the reduction of greenhouse gases, The Kyoto Protocol, accepted by nearly every other country. The US has 4% of the world's population but produces about 25% of all carbon dioxide emissions.
Recently the White House said that the United States was ready to pay a "fair share" of 10 billion dollars a year in climate aid to developing countries as part of a deal at the upcoming climate summit in Copenhagen.

3. Russia - 1,587
Russia has increased its efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in an encouraging development before United Nations climate talks in Copenhagen. Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said his country would try to reduce greenhouse emissions by 25 percent by 2020, not by 15 percent as was planned before.

4. India - 1,324
Four days prior to the Copenhagen climate summit, India announced that it will reduce its emission intensity by 20-25 percent by 2020 from the 2005 level. India's emissions intensity is already lower than other emerging economies and had decreased 17.6 percent between 1990 and 2005.

5. Japan - 1,236
Japan, the world's fifth-biggest greenhouse gas emitter, announced in June this year that it will target a cut in emissions by 15 percent by 2020 from 2005 levels. However the goal was criticized as inadequate by environmentalists and industry officials.
Japanese businesses argue that their factories are already among the world's most energy-efficient and that the country will struggle to cut greenhouse gas emissions further. Japan has one of the strictest environmental protection laws in place.

6. Germany - 798
Current issues: Emissions from coal-burning utilities and industries contribute to air pollution; acid rain, resulting from sulfur dioxide emissions, is damaging forests; pollution in the Baltic Sea from raw sewage and industrial effluents from rivers in eastern Germany; hazardous waste disposal; government established a mechanism for ending the use of nuclear power over the next 15 years; government working to meet EU commitment to identify nature preservation areas in line with the EU's Flora, Fauna, and Habitat directive.

7. Canada - 572

The province of Alberta is Canada's top polluter as of May 2007. The province, with 10% of Canada's population, contributes 40% of climate-warming gases of the country. It is where seven of the top ten polluters of the country is located, including Syncrude and Suncor.
Because half of all emissions in Canada are from industries, environmentalists target them instead of consumers.

8. Britain - 523
The nation has met Kyoto Protocol target of a 12.5% reduction from 1990 levels and intends to meet the legally binding target and move toward a domestic goal of a 20% cut in emissions by 2010.
By 2005 the government reduced the amount of industrial and commercial waste disposed of in landfill sites to 85% of 1998 levels and recycled or composted at least 25% of household waste, increasing to 33% by 2015.

9. South Korea - 488
South Korea announced its first greenhouse gas reduction target in November 2009, pledging to cut emissions of carbon dioxide and other heat-trapping gases by 4% below 2005 levels by 2020.

South Korea is one of the world's largest greenhouse gas emitters. In 2005, the country released 590 million tons of the greenhouse gases blamed for dangerously warming the globe.
If no action is taken to cut emissions, South Korea is expected to produce 813 million tons of greenhouse gases in 2020.

10. Mexico - 437
The environmental issues that plague Mexico include scarcity of hazardous waste disposal facilities; rural to urban migration; natural fresh water resources scarce and polluted in north, inaccessible and poor quality in center and extreme southeast.
The nation also has raw sewage and industrial effluents polluting rivers in urban areas; deforestation; widespread erosion; desertification; deteriorating agricultural lands; serious air and water pollution in the national capital and urban centers along US-Mexico border.

b. Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the gastro-intestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus. By cutting off milk and substituting with unsweetened soy milk, cancer cells will starved.

c. Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment. A meat-based diet is acidic and it is best to eat fish, and a little chicken rather than beef or pork. Meat also contains livestock antibiotics, growth hormones and parasites, which are all harmful, especially to people with cancer.

d. A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole grains, seeds, nuts and a little fruits help put the body into an alkaline environment. About 20% can be from cooked food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices provide live enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to cellular levels within 15 minutes t o nourish and enhance growth of healthy cells.

To obtain live enzymes for building healthy cells try and drink fresh vegetable juice (most vegetables including bean sprouts) and eat some raw vegetables 2 or 3 times a day. Enzymes are destroyed at temperatures of 104 degrees F (40 degrees C).

e. Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate, which have high caffeine. Green tea is a better alternative and has cancer-fighting properties. Water--best to drink purified water, or filtered, to avoid known toxins and heavy metals in tap water. Distilled water is acidic, avoid it.
